Colette Patterns - Iris

Check out how wrinkly I can make shorts! Just kidding. Very similar to the others, a light blue denim I found at Fabrics on Fourth.  I am into them. They’re way too big though. I could easily do two sizes smaller, probably another. Since they’re high waisted they have to fit over my lovely belly that currently houses a delicious burrito.

My beautiful pair of red shorts I made.Colette Patterns’ Iris shorts. Red denim purchased at Fabrics on Fourth in Philadelphia. Size 16– though I should have done a size or two smaller!  Eventually I will have a picture of myself in them.

Here’s a preview of my totally finished and lovely Iris shorts– two pairs!  I wanted to show off the fancy fabric I found for the pockets. Totally in love. They need a good ironing and maybe I’ll get around to taking a picture of myself in them– probably not.

This is how I store my patterns:

My apartment is in a tragic state at the moment, but I did reorganize my fabric stash. Here’s some pictures of it!

Colette Iris #2

Last night I had a few extra hours and I managed to start assembling my second pair of Iris shorts. I’m very happy with how quickly this comes together and I can’t wait until they are done. All I need is another invisible zipper. The pocket lays flat, but I wanted to show the awesome fabric I chose for the pocket!

Colette Iris - Red

These are some shorts I made a few weeks ago when I discovered my borrowed machine has no zipper. I just have to get a) an invisible zipper. Here are some pics of the almost finished shorts.
