Lately I’ve been craving sweaters. I have about 50 in my queue, and in my early days of knitting, I definitely tried to tackle them, but for various reasons (fit, not feeling confident, color, etc), I never finished my sweaters much less wore them. Since I have been knitting for eight years and I still have no sweaters to show, I have decided that 2015 will by my year of bigger projects specifically sweaters and blankets. Yahaira also agreed to knit several of these sweaters together for some fun KALs! I am hoping to knit six sweaters this year and here is my queue.

For my six sweaters, I chose three pullovers & three cardigans. I don’t wear a lot of RTW (Ready-To-Wear) pullovers, because I have found they are generally a little too short for me. With some shaping and torso lengthening, I would definitely wear a hand knit pullover. Below is my very hopeful schedule!

January-February – Strokkur by Ysolda Teague
Yarn: Ístex Létt-Lopi

Ysolda Teague's Strokkur

March-April – Docklight by Julie Hoover
Yarn: Fancy Tiger Craft’s Heirloom Romney

Julie Hoover's Docklight

May-June – Northdale by Gudrun Johnston
This will probably take longer, as it’s colorwork and in fingering weight, but I thought it would be a fun, longish project.
Yarn: Undecided

July-August – Pomme de Pin by Amy Christoffers
Yarn: Undecided

September-October – Arlo (Modified for Adult) by Michele Wang
Yarn: Undecided

November-December – Portage by Melissa Schaschwary

I’m extremely excited about this challenge! Next time I’ll post my additionally VERY hopeful blanket queue! What are your plans for 2015?
